GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS- Consular Section

 

 

·         For all consular services including issue of passports, the applicant has to come to the Embassy in person along with a copy of the passport / civil ID. However, children of less than 5 years of age are exempt from making a personal appearance while applying for new passport. Their applications can be presented by either of the parents.

 

·         Applications are required to be submitted in prescribed application forms along with necessary enclosures at the Consular counters along with prescribed Fee.

 

·         Application forms are available free of cost from the “Facilitation Centre” at the Embassy. The Centre also provides assistance in filling up the forms (both in English as well as in Arabic) , photocopying of documents and taking of photographs at reasonable rates (please refer to "Facilitation Center``)

 

·         As per Government of India norms, attestation of documents, e.g. (i) birth certificates, (ii) marriage certificates, etc. issued in India will be carried out by the Embassy of India, Kuwait only if they are duly notarized by the Home Department of the same State / Union Territory which had originally issued such certificates.
