India-Pakistan talks on CBMs across the LoC in J&K

(New Delhi; May 1, 2006)

A seven-member delegation from Pakistan led by Mr. Syed Ibne Abbas, DG (South Asia) will arrive in New Delhi today for talks on confidence building measures across the LoC in J&K on 2-3 May 2006. The Indian delegation will be led by Shri Dilip Sinha, JS (PAI). The talks will cover the arrangements for the operationalisation of the truck service for trade on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad route, the commencement of a bus service between Poonch and Rawalkot and the opening of the two meeting points on the LOC.
