Press Release As part of the on-going first Indian Film Festival in Kuwait, the five visiting Indian cinema stars took the opportunity to have an interaction with the students from various Indian schools in a combined programme organized in the Gulf Indian School, Fahaheel. The five cine stars - Ms. Vidya Malavade, Ms. Shilpa Shukla, Ms. Chitrashi Rawat, Ms. Arya Menon and Ms. Shubhi Mehta - were honoured by the Indian schools, following which an open session took pace where students from these schools asked questions from the cine stars. The questions ranged from their personal to professional life, their experience with the making of the film “Chak e India as well as their future plans. The enthusiasm among the students to greet the five Indian cine stars on their debut visit to Kuwait was overwhelming. Prior to the session, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait His Excellency Mr. M. Ganapathi spoke on the importance of Indian films particularly about their popularity in Kuwait. Speaking on the famous film “Chak De India” he said that the film had a highly motivational message. The film eventually projected the unity of India. The cine stars are on a visit to Kuwait to participate in the on-going Indian Film Festival in Kuwait from April 2-5, 2008 being organized by the Embassy of India in Kuwait. As part of the Film Festival, three films, viz. “Chak De India”, “Veer Zaara”, and “Black”, are being screened in Granada Cinema in Khaitan on April 3, 4 & 5 respectively. The show timings is 1800 hrs everyday. All three films have Arabic sub-titles. The entry to the Film Festival is strictly by invitation. |
