Hon’ble Mr. Sultan Ahmed, Minister of State for Tourism, Government of
India, would be leading a large delegation of the Indian travel trade to
Kuwait from 8-9 October 2009, as part of a programme for promoting
tourism from Kuwait into India.
In this context, the Embassy of India and the Indian Tourism Office are
organizing a major multi-product Road Show in Kuwait on 8 October 2009,
to which members of the Kuwaiti travel and tourism industry and others
have been invited. The Road Show will project the well-known “Incredible
India!” campaign and provide a platform for showcasing new Indian
tourism products, facilities, services and initiatives to a select
target audience. Approximately 25 members of the Indian Association of
Tour Operators would participate in the one-to-one Buyer-Seller Meeting
that would be conducted as part of the Road Show.
The Road Show would give a special focus to promoting “health tourism”
from Kuwait to the Indian State of Kerala. In this context, the Hon’ble
Minister of Health of Kerala, Mrs. P.K. Sreemathi Teacher, would be
addressing the Road Show.
As part of the publicity a complete bus-wrap of a tourist bus in Kuwait
with the “Incredible India!” display would also be inaugurated on the
occasion.
A series of tourism promotional events would also follow, including
expanded outdoor and print advertising, besides the conduct of Indian
food, film and cultural festivals.
