Embassy of India gifts books to the Asian and Japanese Studies Unit of Kuwait University 

        The Embassy of India, Kuwait gifted a set of 60 books dealing with Indian arts, culture, tourism, economics, politics, international relations, biographies and information technology to the Asian and Japanese Studies Unit of College of Social Sciences of the Kuwait University on January 20, 2009 

        Mr. Vijay Singh, Second Secretary (Culture) of the Embassy of India, on behalf of Mr. Dinesh Bhatia, Charge d’Affaires of India, personally presented above books to Mrs. Sahar Al Ali, Secretary to Mr. Abdullah Yousuf Sahar, Head of the Asian and Japanese Studies Unit.  The Kuwait University warmly welcomed the kind gesture of presentation of above books and saw this as an important additionality to the warm, friendly and historical relations between Kuwait and India. 

        The college of Social Sciences of the Kuwait University had opened a reference section in their “Global Hall” for studies for students, scholars, professors and others interested to know more about other countries.  One Unit in the Global Hall deals with Asian Studies. 

        Earlier too, on December 24, 2006, the Ambassador of India had gifted a set of books along with a set of audio cassettes and CDs on Indian classical music to the Asian and Japanese Studies Unit of the Kuwait University.
