PRESS RELEASE         

          With profound sorrow, the Embassy of India, Kuwait announces the sad demise of the former President of India, Hon’ble Mr. R. Venkatraman on 27th January 2009 at New Delhi.  The Government of India has announced a seven day State mourning  till 2^nd February 2009.
 

          As a mark of respect to the departed leader, it has been decided to open a condolence book at the Embassy on Sunday the 1^st February 2009 and Monday the 2^nd February, 2009 from 0900 hours to 1400 hours.
