Guidelines for Indian Nationals to avail themselves of the benefits of
Amnesty declared by the Government of the State of Kuwait from September
1 to October 15, 2008
The Government of the State of Kuwait has declared Amnesty to the
illegal residents in the State of Kuwait from September 1 to October 15,
2008.
The scheme allows the expatriates who are staying in the State of
Kuwait without valid visas/ residencies to regularize their stay in the
State of Kuwait after payment of the fines.
The scheme also allows those who are without valid visas/ residencies
to leave the State of Kuwait without paying the fines. Such persons will
have the advantage of returning to Kuwait on a proper visa
subsequently.
Those Indian nationals in the State of Kuwait, who are without valid
visas / residencies, are advised to avail themselves of the benefits of
the Amnesty scheme.
The procedures for availing the benefits of the Amnesty scheme by the
concerned Indian Nationals are enumerated below:

Then report to their respective Immigration Office
with two photographs for getting Exit Permit |

applying for EC, all concerned are requested to bring a copy of
confirmed air ticket to India from any airlines

Procedure for obtaining Emergency Certificate
a)
To appear before the Embassy in person.
b)
Application forms obtainable from Embassy may be filled
in (Forms are also available at the Embassy website
www.indembkwt.org).
c)
3 recent photographs to be attached with the
application.
d)
Produce (I) copy of Passport (ii) Civil ID (iii) Entry
visa.
e)
Pay the prescribed consular fee of KD 1.550. |
