PRESS RELEASE
The Embassy of India in Kuwait has decided to issue full validity (10 years) passport to all female household workers in Kuwait with effect from December 17, 2008. Thus far, their passports were being renewed by 2 (two) years each time.
To avail of this service the applicants under Domestic Sector Visa i.e. article-20 visa, have to fill up the required forms and submit a photocopy of their Civil ID and a photocopy of the Civil ID of their sponsor. The required application forms may be downloaded from the Embassy of India website (www.indembkwt.org).
After processing of the application form, the Embassy will issue a full validity passport for 10 years or extend the validity of the old passport up to the maximum validity of 10 years, as the case may be.
The Embassy of India requests all Indian nationals under Domestic Sector Visa (article-20) to carry complete details of their sponsor, such as, photocopy of sponsor’s Civil ID, sponsor’s telephone number and sponsor’s address while visiting the Embassy for renewal of their passports.
